Farmer’s Market Veggie Pizza

DeLallo Farmers Market Veggie Pizza

Makes 1 large sheet pan pizza or 2 – 4 individual pies

1 X DeLallo Pizza Kit

1 X DeLallo Pizza Sauce

1 large heirloom tomato, sliced

2 X green zucchinis, sliced

2 X yellow zucchinis, sliced

1 small bundle broccolini

2 balls of fresh mozzarella, broken into small pieces

1 cup ricotta

½ cup fresh basil leaves, minced

DeLallo olive oil

Dried red chili flakes

Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper

First, make your pizza dough.

Combine the flour mix & yeast packet in a large mixing bowl with 1 ¼ cups (300ml) of lukewarm water. Stir with a fork until a dough begins to form.

Knead by hand for 3 minutes, or until the dough is soft and smooth. Transfer to a clean, lightly oiled bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Let rise for 45 minutes, until doubled in size. Awesome.

Meanwhile, heat a grill over high-heat. Lightly coat the zucchini & broccolini with olive oil, season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then grill under golden, charred, and cooked to perfect. Set aside.

Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (I also love to do this on my preheated grill).

Divide the dough into 2 – 4 equal portions, or use like I am in a large sheet pan. Form and shape the pizza by hand into your desired shape, then coat with DeLallo Pizza Sauce, leaving a ½-inch border around the edge of your pie. Layer on your heirloom tomatoes and grilled veggies, then add the fresh mozzarella, a drizzle of olive oil, and a hit of cracked black pepper.

Bake for 10 – 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden, the cheese has melted, and your kitchen smells like absolute heaven. Add several dollops of fresh ricotta, fresh basil, and chili flakes, then serve immediately. Delicious! #ad
