Field Roast Nashville-Style Hot Chicken Nugget Bites 

Makes 8 – 10 servings, as an appetizer 

Prep time – 10 minutes 

Cook time – 30 minutes 

2 X packages Field Roast Classic Nuggets
Fennel Maple Slaw

½ small red cabbage

1 fennel bulb 

1 large carrot 

2 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise 

½ tablespoon Dijon mustard 

½ tablespoon pure maple syrup 

Juice of ½ a lemon 

Sea salt & freshly cracked black pepper 

Nashville-Style Hot ‘Chicken’ Sauce

½ cup plant-based butter

2 tablespoons cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika 

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon kosher salt 

½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper 

To Build 

1 baguette, sliced and toasted 
Bread & Butter pickles, for serving

Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. 

Arrange the Field Roast Nuggets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until crisp and golden brown. 

Meanwhile, prepare the slaw and sauce. 

Using a box grater, grate the cabbage, fennel, and carrot into a medium bowl. Add the mayo, dijon, maple, and lemon, season with sea salt and cracked black pepper, then mix well to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. 

Sauce time! Heat a medium saucepan over medium-heat and melt your plant-based butter. While the butter is melting, combine the sugar, spices, salt, and pepper in a small dish, then whisk into the melted butter. Bring to a simmer until the sauce is bubbling away, then remove from the heat. Toss the crisp nuggets with your sauce until completely coated in deliciousness. 

Build your appetizers on toasted baguette with slaw, a super saucy Field Roast Nugget, bread & butter pickle, and serve. Delicious!!
